Claude Bell had a dream of building full size dinosaurs out of concrete in the middle of the desert. Claude accomplished his dream in grand style. Claude personally built two concrete dinosaurs at Cabazon, California, next to the Wheel Inn Cafe. One is a 150 ton brontosaurus and the other is a 100 ton tyrannosaurus rex. Claude completed all of this work between 1964 and his death in 1988. Claude was 67 in 1964 and 91 in 1988. The brontosaurus is named "Dinney" and the tyrannosaurus rex is named "Rex."
